SHORTLISTS PROCEDURE
NOMINATIONS for the majority of the 2009 British Book Industry Awards will be requested in January 2009. If you wish to nomination anyone for one of these prestigious Awards, please contact Jo Henry at johenry@publishingnews.co.uk. Nominations are not required for the Independent Bookshop, Marketing and Publicity categories.Lists of the nominations will be sent to the British Book Awards Academy in February and their votes solicited. Once all the votes are in, the leading candidates in each category will be contacted and asked to provide a short supporting document for their nomination. The final winners in each category will be chosen by a specially selected panel of judges using their own industry knowledge and the information provided in the supporting documentation.
