ABOUT THE BRITISH BOOK INDUSTRY AWARDS

2009 British Book Industry Awards and Dinner

A Publishing News / BA Joint Venture

This annual event, arguably one of the most enjoyable nights out in the book trade calendar, was renamed the British Book Industry Awards in 2007. These Awards - the only ones to honour all sectors of the book business - have, over the past 20 years, provided the industry with a prestigious platform with which to recognize and honour its own.

Leading booksellers and publishers have stepped up over the years to collect their gold trophy - the famous and coveted Nibbie - and many more have gone along to honour and applaud their peers, as well as party well into the night.

Full details of the 2009 event, which will take place on the evening of Monday, 18th May during the Bookseller Association's Annual Conference, can be found here.
